Students learn from what they do during lessons, not from what the teacher says.

The key to teaching is crafting a sequence of tasks that guide you step-by-step from your current abilities to a slightly more advanced goal. This iterative process, practiced consistently over time, leads to mastery.

NICE TO MEET YOU!

I'm Michelle Kalisz

I specialize in empowering piano students to establish a strong musical foundation using a principle-based approach that simplifies the learning journey.

The root of piano playing issues often stems from a lack of clarity. By tapping into core principles, we create clarity and understanding.

Instead of tackling pieces in isolation, we focus on uncovering the common thread among the various elements present in all piano repertoire.

I challenge the notion that talent alone is the path to mastery. My mission as a teacher is to demonstrate that with the right guidance and mindset, anyone can excel in music.

I believe music makes life better.

One of the highlights of my lessons has been playing songs I only dreamt of playing. I've noticed significant progress in my playing abilities, and I am more confident in my skills than ever before.

- Alia, Adult Division

I never played piano before and came into learning the piano for the 1st time as an adult. Each lesson was very thought out and tailored towards my specific learning progress and needs.

-Jessica S., Adult Division

Your patient and thoughtful approach is much appreciated... they are learning resilience and managing their stage fright!
